MAKEUP TIPS - The Eyeliners Story Winged Liner / Kitten Flick For Hooded Eyelids

Have you ever watched makeup tutorial on Youtube on how to do your super sexy feline winged eyeliner and get sooooo (notice the o's?) inspired by it and the cat woman in you suddenly roaring to be awaken? you even start planning on the outfit that you will wear with your super sexy cat eyeliner look only to be awaken with reality after an hour or so later with all eyeliners that you owned sprawling on top of your vanity table, all eyeliner brushes that you can think of is crusted with dry liners, and you sitting staring at them all with all hope on looking catty all gone to ashes, with eyelids sore and red from all the rubbing and smeared liners up to your cheeks.

While sitting there you probably wondering what did you do wrong? You followed every steps carefully, bought all the liners that the beauty gurus in Youtube swear by.. well let me tell you what I learned by the hard way.  there is a few reasons why you failed big time.

While most 'Beauty Guru' in Youtube that offering tutorial on how to do winged eyeliners have the perfect deep set eyes that just made for makeup application, most of us do not have the same eye shape as the. So choosing which tutorial to follow as guide is very important. Try search for tutorial that is made by someone with similar eye shapes as yours.Thus saying this knowing your own eye shapes is the 1st matter to remember.

The second matter is accepting that we hooded eyes beauties will never be able to wear that super winged cat eyeliner look, we still able to rock eyeliners with some adjustment made depends on where the fold of our lids is and how heavy the hood is.

Now we just need that OOTD

As I get into my 30's I do noticed that my eyelids fold is heavier than it used to be, and as much I do not want to admit it.. It is obvious I have hooded eyelids. Luckily for me because I love makeup and always experimenting with it, changing my eyeliners shape to suit my eyes came naturally for me. Below are the before & after photos of me. I love wearing this kitten flick liner and I usually changed the intensity depending on the eye shadow look I have going on.

Rather than winged it up towards my temple, I avoided the fold of my eyelids by bringing the liners more of a straight line and stop just before where I want the end of my liner to be. As I personally have an almond shape eyes, I usually start from the middle of my eyelids, making sure I make the line as fine as possible and bit thicker on the outer corner. This way I will have lids space for my eyeshadow colour placement and avoiding the black eyed look.

KIEHL'S ULTRA FACE CREAM - The Review

After buying the 2nd jar of this cream, I think it is only fitting I write a blog post review about it. This cream is amazing as daily moisturizer for dry and dehydrated skin. I use to have very oily skin in my teenage years all the way to my early 30's.. then of course everything change in your 30's.. sad but true. Nowadays I have more of a combination of  normal/dry skin. I've came across this cream from a sample sachet I got from Kiehl's store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, from the 1st application I knew that I have to have it.

comes in opaque white 50ml high quality plastic jar

Pros:

It feels super moisturizing without the tackiness and greasy feeling left in the skin. It absorb quickly and left a velvety soft touch to the skin. It makes my skin feel plump and nourish. This cream serve me well in hot humid country like Malaysia and all the drying office air-conditioning, and it is still my go to daily cream now that I live in the Europe in a harsh dry cold winter. It is also good to mix with your normal daily foundation to thin it out and make your own tinted moisturizer. It did not give grey cast when using this way not like other moisturizer with SPF.

Cons:

There is no SPF protection, thus you need to use separate SPF protection on top of this cream. I usually use Soltan by Boots.

Here is yours truly with no makeup on except my fav moisturizer that I am cheekly holding.

Rating   : 8.9/10

Suitable For  : Dry / Dehydrated skin 

Price Wise  : 9/10 (not cheap but a 50ml will last for a while)

ITALIAN WEDDING - 1st STEP | NULLA OSTA - What You Need To Know

Hi my lovelies,

First of all, if you reading this, congratulation to you and your partner/ fiance. I am writing this based on my own experience and what we did in order to make our marriage registered lawfully by Italian / European standard.

Before making your trip to Italy, you and your partner should prepare some documents in Malaysia that you will need to summit to your embassy to obtain your Nulla Osta (Status Swear Declaration) from the Malaysian embassy (or your respected embassy) Please take note that Nulla Osta is very important and no wedding will take place without this document.

What To Prepare in Malaysia

There is different documents that you should have prepared before leaving depends on your religion as in Malaysia the Muslims is subject to Syariah law.

For Muslim Malaysian

• Male - Please get 'Surat Pengesahan Bujang' from Jabatan Hal Ehwal agama Islam, JAWI or from the info that I gather you can also obtain this from your employee. Please check your local department state department for this. 
• Female - As JAWI had personally confirmed with me that they is no such documents issue for woman, I found out about this while trying to sort out my documents.. what you can do to prove that you are not married and free to marry is to make any appointment with an appointed Pesuruhjaya Sumpah (Commissioner Of Oath) preferably a Muslim and inform him that you need to make an Oath of your marital status to be use oversea. 

For Non-Muslim

• Matters are a bit easier for you guys as all you need to do is to go to the nearest branch of Jabatan Perkhawinan & Penceraian and ask for 'Surat Pengesahan Bujang' The procedures is the same for both make & Female. 

Note: For Divorce & Widows / Widower, Please prepare your divorce certificate or any other related certification to be translated in Italian preferably by an appointed translator from the Italian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

All this documentation you will need to present at the Malaysian Embassy in Italy in order for them to issue your NULLA OSTA. The consulate appointed might do s short interview on you and your partner. I have pleasant experience in the embassy as they are very friendly and very efficient not to mention very helpful indeed.

WHAT IS NULLA OSTA

NULLA OSTA is the final declaration / sworn statement to be made in Italy before a Malaysian Consular Officer at the Malaysian Embassy in Rome, Italy stating that according to the laws to which the citizen is subject to their home country there is no obstacle to his and her marriage. All documents must be shown to the Consular Office at the time of making This  declaration.

MIGRATING TO ITALY - Your Journey Of Thousands Miles - Basic Info

Deciding to move to other country is probably one of the biggest decision that you will ever make in your life. When we decided to leave Malaysia and moving to Rome, Italy.. we know that there will be some hard work to be done not for him as it's like going back to his hometown or as Malaysian said 'balik kampung', as for me there is a whole new world, and whole new set of problems coming with that. As we didn't really take time to make the decision to leave Kuala Lumpur permanently it was a havoc to say the least to get everything done.

We managed to get the last boxes of our belongings post out 2 days before departing. We decided to use Post Malaysia International Air service as we do not have any furniture and it is the most convenient for us regarding price and weight of our belongings. The Pos Laju office at Jalan Tun Sambathan near KL Sentral is great with their service and as it located just beside the main street, it is most convenient to carry boxes to the service counter.

As a Malaysian passport holder, you an entitled for a 3 months tourist visa upon arrival. Please check with your embassy what is your country visa term if you holding different passport. Most important thing to remember

• Upon checking in for your flight for departure, you will be asked to show your return ticket to the airline counter staff. They obliged to do so to make sure you are intending to leaving Italy / European country before your 3 months expired. You might be rejected for check in if you failed to do so. Couple of friends of ours learned the hard way and have to buy ticket there on the spot.
• Please beware of your luggage allowances. Most airlines charge a hefty sums for extra kilos.
• Plan your next steps for processing all the legal documents needed. This will help a lot in saving your time and minimizing headache.
